Sun Krunch Granola: Review and GIVEAWAY!

I owe my favorite food item on the market to the brains and perseverance of small business owners Kevin and Kara Payne of Northwest Illinois {and to the GFAF Expo for introducing me}–Sun Krunch Granola, you hold my heart.

After frustrations with their own personal health and a quick, deep dive into the Paleo lifestyle, the Payne couple was ready to take their breakfast woes into their own hands. Well, snacking too!

Sun Krunch Granola is gluten free, grain free, and nut free– which means also oat free {no purity protocol vs. certified GF concerns here!} and paleo!

But what the Payne’s really didn’t expect when they met me and I tried their granola was how perfectly their product is for the diabetes community.

As all the ADSG celiac/food allergy readers know, type 1 diabetes overwhelms many aspects of my life–especially my relationship with food. But what non-PWDs {persons with diabetes} often don’t understand is how most PWDs struggle  to consume any carbohydrates in the morning.

I’ve never been able to eat granola for breakfast–even the ones that have been safe for me allergy-wise–due to their high carbohydrate/high sugar content. That is, until I got my hands on Sun Krunch.

Typically available in 3 perfectly crafted flavors {Flax Apple (personal fave), Buttery Cinnamon, and Cranberry Apple}, though currently available in Pumpkin Spice as well (!), Sun Krunch Granola ranges from 8 to 13g of carbs per serving{which is a whopping one eighth of the whole bag!}

You read that right. Get this– my go to breakfast of Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt + serving of the crunchy, flavorful, love-filled Sun Krunch in the morning + half a pot of coffee {okay, maybe not quite so much…} = 16g of carbs. That’s it–for the entire breakfast.

I truly cannot speak more highly of Sun Krunch and the couple that has created these pouches that feel like they’re chock full of sunshine for this celiac, food allergy/intolerant loaded, type 1 diabetic.

So, of course, I absolutely HAD to arrange a giveaway for all of my loyal ADSG readers! Head over to my Instagram to enter soon!

In the meantime, here’s a code for 20% off your order between now and the end of the year {stock up because, man that stuff goes quickly once you start munching!}: ADSG20. Additionally, please consider using my affiliate link here to place your order so this young professional might get a lil’ something for telling you about her fave find.

Take it easy, but take it.
