GFAF Expo Schaumburg 2018– Ticket Giveaway!

It’s that time of year again– the GFAF Expo Schaumburg 2018 is quickly approaching!

As many of you know, I’ve attended the GFAF Expo in Schaumburg {NW of Chicago} for many years. This year’s excitement is April 7th and 8th. You can see my post from last year here and two years ago here!

Each year, as I become a more seasoned blogger/media member, I have a more worthwhile experience at this local GFAF Expo–I attend primarily to connect in-person with the brands that have been incredible partners in the last year, as well as to get some face-time with newer brands and fellow bloggers!

My greatest recommendation for all those attending:

Spend time talking with the grocery stores that attend. They’re not just there as the only booths giving out fresh fruit {though it’s true!}– they want to hear more from the community about how they can better serve the GF/food allergy populations!

Last year, I really scoped out the products that were free-from multiple allergens. This year, I’ll be looking for items that are not only GF/egg free/peanut free/soybean oil free, but free of my newest allergen– gourds. To my beloved pumpkin seeds, I must say adieu and find a replacement for you.

Interested in attending this year?

I have TWO one-day adult passes for the GFAF Expo Schaumburg to give away! All you need to do is leave a comment with a brand OR product type you hope to see at the GFAF Expo this year by next Friday, 3/9/18,  and you’re entered to win!

I can’t wait to see enjoy life. Both kids are allergic to wheat and dairy.

They always have a fun booth, too! Lots of goodies to take with for your little ones. :)

Not all of the stuff listed here is dairy-free, probably, but there will be alternatives that are. As I said below, Ive been to Disney World with a lactose-intolerant family member. She always had something to eat I seem to remember a reliance on fruits for the dairy-free desserts, but its been a few years and I wasnt focusing on it too much at the time. (I definitely remember a lot of stuff that was clearly intended to be safe for as many allergens as possible. She got a lot of gluten-free bread, even though she has no issues with gluten, presumably because its easier to make bread thats soy/gluten/eggs/dairy/nuts/corn/etc.-free and give that to everyone with relevant issues than to make a dozen different kinds for all the many combinations of allergies/intolerances/sensitivities out there.)

There are lots of dairy free options at the Expo! You're right, they will likely also be GF {e.g. lots of the breads, brownies, etc}.

Can’t wait to visit the Canyon Ranch booth and see what new wonderful things they’ve created!

This looks incredible!! I would love to see cookie/cake products like Enjoy Life that taste just like real cookie/cake products that I love so much. Had Enjoy Life snickerdoodles a couple weeks back and was thrilled with how "normal" they tasted! Also would love to see a vegan pizza product - had a great cauliflower crust pizza at Costco the other day, but there was real cheese on it. Sooo good, though. Oh, and also egg-free products for my friend's little baby/toddler, who is allergic. So sad.

I'm also allergic to eggs-- so I feel your desire! Hope to see you at the expo!
